SFASD SUMMER HOURS
In an ongoing effort to benefit from cost savings on utilities, the Spring-Ford Area School District will operate on a four-day work week during the summer months. This operational strategy is expected to save the district tens of thousands of dollars in energy and utility costs.

Spring-Ford Area School District employees are working the same number of hours a week, but doing so in four days rather than five.
Monday: 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Tuesday : 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Wednesday: 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Thursday: 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Friday : Close

The countdown to summer is on! For those families who will be returning for the 2017-2018 school year, school will begin on Monday, August 28, 2017.

UPDATED IMMUNIZATION REGULATIONS FOR 2017-2018
The Department of Health has changed school immunization regulations. The changes will be in effect for the beginning of the 2017/18 school year.

NEW PA School Immunization Requirements MUST be met by 5th day of school or student will NOT be allowed to attend school. If you are unsure, please check with your pediatrician.
Children in ALL grades (K-12) need the following immunizations for attendance:
  • 4 doses of tetanus, diphtheria and acellular pertussis
  • 4 doses of polio
  • 2 doses of measles, mumps and rubella
  • 3 doses of hepatitis B
  • 2 doses of varicella (chicken pox)
Seventh through 12th Grade ADDITIONAL immunization requirements for attendance:
  • 2 doses meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV)
  • 1 dose of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap)

COOL SCHOOL 2017
Cool School 2017 registration is open! Cool School summer courses offer fun summer activities for students completing grades K-6, with a focus on enrichment, arts and sports. Check out this years courses, taught by some of your favorite Spring-Ford teachers!

Quick tips for a successful registration:
1. Review the Cool School course book with your Cool School kiddo.
2. Register with Credit Card online or mail a check payment, along with the Cool School Registration Form.
3. Get ready to have fun!

Wednesday, June 14th, is the last student day and the end of the 4th marking period. Report cards will be available Wednesday, June 21st, to view electronically, after 4:00 PM, through your Skyward Family Access.á

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS AS OF 2017

As of the upcoming 2017-2018 school year, the PA Dept of Health has developed new requirements for students grades K-12. CLICK HERE for the new requirements, children must be immunized as listed per grade level. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Nurse Laura, 610-705-6012.

STUDENT BEING PICKED UP BY PARENTS AT DISMISSAL
For parents picking up students at the 3:40 PM dismissal, on a consistent basis, should provide their teacher with a STUDENT PICK-UP FORM. Contact the school office with anyáquestions.
