2nd MARKING PERIOD ENDS / REPORT CARDS AVAILABILITY
Monday, February 1st, is the end of the second marking period. Report cards will be available Tuesday, February 11th to view electronically, after 4:00 PM, through your Skyward Family Access account.
WINTER WEATHER IS HERE!!
Winter weather has finally arrived. Please be sure your
child is prepared for outside recess by wearing a heavy
jacket to school, along with a hat, gloves and a scarf.
Outside recess depends on the weather conditions each
school day. If the wind chill is below freezing but above
20 degrees, lunch recess will be for 15 minutes outside.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION 2016-2017
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION is now open with appointments to begin on February 16th thru March 22nd. To start the process please go to the district's website - www.spring-ford.net – under "New Student Registration" to complete the online registration process. At the end of the online registration, please be sure to select an appointment date and time to complete the process at Evans Elementary School. Please pass this information on to any friends or neighbors who also have a child who will qualify for Kindergarten for the next school year.

To report an absence or tardiness, please dial 610-705-6012
When you hear “Welcome to…Evans Elementary School” select option “4” to report a student’s absence or tardiness.
Please leave the following information: Student’s name, the date of the absence, teacher’s name, and reason for absence or tardiness (indicate approximate time of arrival if tardy). (Calls must be made by 8:30 am for Grades K-AM to Grade 4 ~ or by 12:30 pm for K-PM)
This call must be made for EACH DAY of absence or tardiness.
(Unless prior arrangements have been made with the office.)
REMEMBER: A written “Excuse for Absence” note with a
parental/ guardian signature (or doctor’s note) explaining the absence is required within 3 days of the student’s return to school.
If note is not received within three days of the absence it is considered an UNEXCUSED/UNLAWFUL absence.
Due to changes in the PA State Child Protective
Services Law, effective July 1, 2015, there are new
clearance requirements for ALL VOLUNTEERS who
would like to assist in a classroom, the Library, go on field trips,
and/or assist in classroom activities/events. Please read
the information on the school district's homepage under
Community/Volunteer information to understand the requirements
and clearances you MUST obtain prior to volunteering.
MODIFIED KINDERGARTEN SCHEDULE
When there is a two-hour delay because of inclement weather,
Kindergarten classes will be held on a MODIFIED SCHEDULE ...
AM Kindergarten ... 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM
Student arrival 10:45 AM
AM Bus for arrival - 2 hours after normal scheduled time
PM Bus for dismissal – 1 hour after normal scheduled time
PM Kindergarten ... 1:55 PM to 3:40 PM
Student arrival 1:45 PM
PM Bus for arrival – 1 hour after normal scheduled time
PM Bus for dismissal – normal scheduled time
PSSA TESTING WINDOW - 2015-16
If you have a student in third or fourth grade for the 2015-2016 school year, please be aware of the following test dates when planning appointments and trips
April 11-15, 2016 - English Language Arts
April 18-22, 2016 - Mathematics
April 25-29, 2016 - Science (Fourth Grade Only)
May 2-6, 2016 - Make up testing dates - if needed
